Patrick Corbin roughed up in loss to Phillies Monday

by Brenton Kemp | Blue Jays Correspondent | Tue, Jun 9th 9:04am EDT

Blue Jays left-hander Patrick Corbin allowed five earned runs in three innings while taking the loss on Monday against the Phillies.

Fantasy Impact:

The Phillies got to Corbin early in this one, as Adolis Garcia got to him for a two-run homer in the second inning before the Phils added three more runs in the third. Corbin didn't come out for the fourth after allowing five earned runs on four hits and four walks against three strikeouts in his 79 pitches on the evening. The southpaw has been a serviceable member of a beat-up Jays rotation since joining the rotation early in the season, but saw his ERA rise to 4.55 after Monday's outing. The veteran is tentatively lined up to take on the Yankees in a tough matchup at home on Saturday.
