The Phillies continue strong play this spring, defeating the Yankees by the score of 3-0. Ryan Howard knocked in one of the runs, an finished 1-for-3 with a double. Howard was the designated hitter, while Darin Ruf played first base.

Howard continues to be a power threat against right-handed pitching, but is woeful against lefties. He will platoon with Darin Ruf this season. Expect 20 home runs, but a low batting average and high strikeout totals.
