Jered Weaver to see spine specialist

Jered Weaver will miss his next scheduled Spring Training start and see a spine specialist after he was diagnosed with mild degenerative changes in his cervical spine. Weaver had been complaining of tightness in his back. (ESPN)
Fantasy Impact:
It's not clear what this condition means for Weaver, who's had issues with his velocity in recent seasons. That's especially been the case so far this spring. Weaver wasn't viewed as a viable fantasy option in most leagues entering the season prior to this news, so he's certainly off fantasy radars now.
