Felix Hernandez allows three runs in first Spring Training start

by John Trupin | Tue, Mar 15th 1:45am EDT

Felix Hernandez struck out five in two and a third innings of work in his first game action of the 2016 season. Hernandez allowed three runs on six hits and was held to a pitch count of around 45 to 50. Hernandez said he felt fine after the game, and noted that the Rockies were very aggressive on the first pitch, which led to success. (ESPN)

Fantasy Impact:

At this point in the season, it is most important that Hernandez was physically healthy and had great movement on his offspeed pitches. Hernandez will be the expected ace for Seattle for 2016.
