Troy Tulowitzki plates five in win over the Tigers

by Marc Walton | Tue, Mar 22nd 8:17pm EDT

Troy Tulowitzki had a nice afternoon Tuesday, going 2-for-4 with a home run, five RBI, and a run scored in their 16-1 win over the Detroit Tigers. The home run was Tulo's fourth of the spring.

Fantasy Impact:

Tulowitzki decided to revamp his swing over the off-season, adapting a style similar to Josh Donaldson's. Tulowitzki added a leg kick to his approach and seems to be adapting well as he is currently hitting .290 with four home runs, a team leading 10 RBI, and an OPS of 1.049. The change to his approach is a bit surprising considering Tulo has been one of the games best hitters, as well as the games best offensive shortstops. However, when Troy was traded to the Jays at the deadline last year, he struggled to carry his offensive numbers north of the border. Regardless of last years struggles, you can be rest assured that Tulo will return to his offensive prowess, and that last years struggles were merely an aberration. Draft with confidence as a top-three shortstop in redraft and keeper leagues.
