David Wright will not DH in season opener

by Reggie Beltran | Tue, Mar 22nd 9:24pm EDT

According to ESPN, Collins has ruled out using Wright as the designated hitter to open the season in Kansas City. He will be eased into regular action to manage the spinal stenosis in his lower back. (ESPN)

Fantasy Impact:

Wright only played 38 games for the Mets in the regular season. They will need their captain to stay health, if they are to make another World Series push this season. When in the lineup, Wright should have plenty of opportunities to drive in runs.
