Mike Fiers allowed six runs on eight hits in 4 2/3 innings against Atlanta on Tuesday. He had two walks and three strikeouts in the outing.
Fantasy Impact:
While Fiers has a rotation spot locked up, this kind of outing so late in Spring Training (and against such a bad offense) is a bit worrying. Fiers has high strikeout upside with a career 9.09 K/9, but his WHIP has to stay down for him to be useful in standard formats, and Tuesday's outing doesn't exactly inspire confidence. Fiers is worth a shot on a good Astros team that should provide adequate run support, but there is danger here, exert caution (205 overall ADP).
