Hot Spring Training keeps Mike Trout the top fantasy option

Mike Trout has drilled Spring Training pitching to the tune of a 1.087 OPS in 36 at-bats, even stealing two bases in Angels' exhibitions. Trout had a career-high .991 OPS in 2015, but only stole 11 bases, his fourth consecutive season with a drop in stolen bases.

Fantasy Impact:

There is so little to complain about in Trout's game, but the fleet footed Trout's drop in stolen bases saw his power-speed number drop from the best in the American League in both 2012 and 2013 to sixth best in 2015. In fact, if you are looking at top of the draft talents, Paul Goldschmidt ranked 2nd in baseball in power-speed number in 2015, trailing only teammate A.J. Pollock. The Angels still have Trout hitting near the middle of the lineup, but if the dynamo can make the most of his opportunities in 2016, as he had seven CS in 2015, he should be back over 20 stolen bases. Keep him at the top of your draft board, as you can safely project that he has an OPS that approaches 1.000.
