Jacoby Ellsbury day-to-day with wrist injury

Manager Joe Girardi said Sunday that Ellsbury's right wrist remains sore, and the outfielder likely will not return to Grapefruit League action until Thursday. (ESPN)

Ellsbury's freshest injury was the result of a hit by pitch Saturday, but fortunately X-rays and a CT scan on the wrist were returned negative. According to Girardi, the Yankees' upcoming schedule will dictate Ellsbury's next spring appearance, though the proposed return date of Thursday appears to afford him a sufficient amount of time to recover.
