Jose Altuve has a strong spring and looks like a first round pick

Jose Altuve has a .333 batting average and eight RBI this spring, showing that he is looking to top his strong four year run. Altuve saw his batting average dip from .341 in 2014 to .313 in 2015, but hit more home runs (15) in 2015 than he did in 2013 and 2014 combined (12).

Fantasy Impact:

Jose Altuve hit for power (59 extra base hits) in 2015, but also saw his stolen bases drop from 56 in 2014 to 38 in 2015. He does not walk very much, but he makes a lot of contact and has had 200 or more hits in each of the last two seasons. Second base is not usually seen as a strong offensive position, but it has been stronger of the last couple seasons; Altuve's .821 OPS and 35+ stolen base potential makes him the top option at the position. He should be targeted in the middle of the second round, but has looked like a first round pick this spring.
