Logan Morrison goes 0-for-2 with a walk in Rays loss

by Mike Werner | Tue, Apr 5th 1:47am EDT

Logan Morrison went 0-for-2 with a walk in the Rays' 5-3 loss to the Blue Jays on Monday night.

Fantasy Impact:

Morrison was acquired by the Rays this off-season in a deal that sent Nate Karns to Seattle. While he did have a solid Spring (.310 BA in 42 at-bats), he has started 0-for-6 in his first two games as a Ray. In addition, Morrison was replaced in the seventh by Steve Pearce after the Blue Jays sent southpaw Brett Cecil out to the mound. While he does not offer amazing upside, Morrison should log the majority of the playing time at first base this year, making him worthy of a roster spot in AL-Only leagues.
