Jimmy Rollins goes 1-for-4 in his White Sox debut

by Rob Schwarz, Jr. | Tue, Apr 5th 8:40am EDT

All of the scoring took place in one inning in this game. Luckily for the White Sox, the team finished on top. The White Sox took advantage of Sonny Gray being rushed to the emergency room with food poisoning and won 4-3 over Oakland. Jimmy Rollins saw the start at shortstop and did not let his team down. He went 1-for-4 with a run scored and a RBI.

Fantasy Impact:

Rollins will likely be in a split at shortstop with Tyler Saladino, which affects his fantasy value. However, if he can continue to see at-bats at the top of the order, he could be a solid waiver wire pickup for anyone looking to add runs and increase their OBP categories. Rollins is a career .265 hitter and should see similar numbers in 2016. The veteran might be slowing down, but should still see some stolen base opportunities. He should make for a solid, low-cost option in DFS too.
