Dodgers hope to have Howie Kendrick back for home opener

Howie Kendrick is expected to take live batting practice in the next few days. The Dodgers hope to have the veteran infielder back in time for Tuesday's home opener. (Eric Stephen on Twitter)

Kendrick was hampered by a calf injury this spring. His return will help the Dodgers middle infield depth, as he's expected to see regular time at 2B.
