Hisashi Iwakuma goes five innings but earns a no-decision Tuesday night

by John Trupin | Wed, Apr 6th 3:02am EDT

Despite an offensive explosion for the Mariners, starter Hisashi Iwakuma was unable to capitalize with a win, as the right-hander racked up 90 pitches through five innings, despite only allowing two earned runs against the Rangers

Fantasy Impact:

Iwakuma only has one career complete game (his no-hitter last year) and is commonly held at a pitch count around 90-100 pitches. While this can be frustrating for owners, Iwakuma is generally effective when healthy, so any methodology that seeks to prevent injury to the talented but fragile pitcher still has benefits for owners.
