Ian Desmond gets a hit in first start in CF

Ian Desmond was moved to CF on Wednesday as Justin Ruggiano got the start over Delino DeShields due to a lefty on the mound. Desmond also hit second in the lineup and went 1-for-4 with a run scored and two strikeouts.
Fantasy Impact:
The Rangers will have a lot of options in their outfield this season, but with Desmond being able to play centerfield as well as left field, it gives more value to Ian moving forward. It appears the Rangers want Desmond in their lineup as much as possible and they feel comfortable with him in center which means when Josh Hamilton returns, Desmond is a likely candidate to start in CF.
