R.A. Dickey has great stuff, but cannot control it

by Roy Widrig | Sun, Apr 10th 9:20am EDT

Blue Jays SP R.A. Dickey had the kind of knuckleball you dream about on Saturday, unfortunately catcher Josh Thole couldn't catch it. Thole dropped two third strikes and his numerous passed balls allowed runners to advance in critical situations. All told Dickey allowed seven runs (six earned) through five innings with two walks and nine strikeouts.

Fantasy Impact:

There's no way of predicting what the knuckleball will do on a day-to-day basis, making Dickey an extreme risk in every fantasy format. He was very good in his previous outing versus Tampa Bay, and his next start will come against the Red Sox, again, in Boston.
