Freddie Freeman drops to .096 on the season

by Kyle Borgognoni | Dodgers Correspondent | Wed, Apr 13th 7:50am EDT

Freeman went 0-for-3 with a walk in the Braves' 2-1 loss to the Nationals on Tuesday night.

Fantasy Impact:

With the scored knotted at 0-0 in the eighth, Freeman came to bat with Mallex Smith on second and Nick Markakis at first with no outs. He promptly struck out against reliever Oliver Perez, whiffing badly on a pitch outside the zone. Freeman has been terrible thus far with only an Opening Day homer against Max Scherzer of note. However, he has punished Wednesday's starter Stephen Strasburg in his career to the tune of .387/.462/.742 with three HR. He's a sneaky DFS play as many owners will be down on him after this sluggish start.
