Chase Headley continues to struggle

by Jamison Malasko | Fri, Apr 15th 10:27am EDT

Chase Headley continued his poor hitting as he went 0-for-2 with a walk in a 4-2 loss to the Blue Jays on Thursday. Headley is now 3-for-20 on the season and has a .150 batting average.

Fantasy Impact:

With the hot hitting of Ronnie Torreyes, Headley could soon see himself out of the lineup. Torreyes is hitting .667 in the three games he has played in and if he keeps hitting like this, it's going to be hard to keep him out of the lineup. On the other hand, if Headley keeps struggling then manager Joe Girardi will have no choice but to bench Headley. For now, Headley is not an option for season long leagues and not a daily fantasy option while he hits so far down in the lineup, no matter the price.
