Two walks and a stolen base for Carlos Santana

1B/DH Carlos Santana went 0-for-2 with a run, two walks and his first stolen base of the season as the Indians defeated the Mets 7-5 on Saturday.

Fantasy Impact:

The first walk was instrumental in disrupting SP Matt Harvey's rhythm. The Mets' ace looked untouchable until the walk forced him to work out of the stretch. Later in the inning, Jose Ramirez drilled an RBI-double to get the Indians on the board. It could be argued that Carlos Santana is a better player in real life than in fantasy. He is likely to hurt your batting average but should be owned in all leagues that value walks or OBP. The 30-year-old stole 11 bases last season and another year of double-digit steals looks possible.
