Logan Forsythe swats a pair of doubles in Rays defeat

by Mike Werner | Sat, Apr 23rd 1:40am EDT

Logan Forsythe went 2-for-5 with two doubles, a run scored, and two RBI in the Rays' 6-3 loss to the Yankees on Friday night.

Fantasy Impact:

Forsythe belted a two-run double down the left field line in the second inning of off C.C. Sabathia to get the scoring started in this one, and proceeded to double one more time off the southpaw, which allowed him to score his lone run. The Rays lead off hitter got off to a rocky start in his first ten games (.216 BA), but has really turned it on over his last five, nabbing hits in every contest, with three being of the multi-hit variety. He hasn't hit a home run in that time, but he has four extra-base hits, and has raised his line to a solid .298/.375/.526. Forsythe will once again be a top-15 option at second base for fantasy owners this season.
