Howie Kendrick

Howie Kendrick quickly losing fantasy relevance

by Chris Zolli | Sat, Apr 23rd 9:33am EDT

Howie Kendrick finished 0-for-3 with two strikeouts in the Dodgers' 7-5 loss to the Rockies on Friday night. Kendrick has a .349 OPS this season.

Fantasy Impact:

Friday marked the fifth time in six games that the Dodgers' LF was hitless and the career .292 hitter has seen his batting average drop to .161 on the season. Usurped of an infield spot by both Chase Utley and Justin Turner, Kendrick may quickly be the man out in the Dodgers' outfield when either Andre Either or Carl Crawford returns. He has the track record of a solid batting average, but no extra-base hits in 31 at-bats with his sub-.200 batting average should keep Kendrick off of the fantasy radar, even in the deepest of leagues.
