Albert Pujols continues his downward spiral

by Chris Zolli | Sun, Apr 24th 9:23am EDT

Albert Pujols has been hitless in his last six games, finishing 0-for-3 with a walk and two strikeouts against Seattle in a 4-2 Angels' win on Saturday night. Pujols has only gotten on base twice in his last six games and has a .132 batting average this season.

Fantasy Impact:

Pujols may be struggling with getting on base over the last couple weeks, but does have 10 RBI this season, showing that he could be a useful player. He has a putrid .130 BABIP this season, mainly because he has hit more ground balls than he has ever hit in his career, and he has the lowest hard-hit ball percentage since 2002. If Pujols cannot hit the ball with more authority than he has in the early part of 2016, he will not be a worthy part of a fantasy roster.
