Robinson Cano knocks in a run

by Chris Zolli | Tue, Apr 26th 7:28am EDT

Robinson Cano finished 1-for-3 with a walk and an RBI in the Mariners' 3-2 win over the Astros on Monday night. Cano only has a .224 batting average this season, but his .500 slugging percentage has his OPS at a solid .806.

Fantasy Impact:

Cano is better known for his average, but his power has made the difference for fantasy owners so far this season. He has nine extra-base hits, including six home runs, 10 runs scored, and has driven in 15 runs. Fantasy owners should bet highly on Cano having a batting average around .300, as he is a career .306 hitter, and he is a safe bet to surpass or equal his 55 extra-base hit average that he has in two years with the Mariners. He is a top-three 2B and his power may make him the top 2B in 2016.
