A.J. Griffin ends Rangers skid

by Mitch Cox | Wed, Apr 27th 12:29am EDT

A.J. Griffin had his most impressive start of the season, allowing just four hits and one run over eight innings of work in the Rangers' 10-1 win over the Yankees Tuesday. The victory snapped a four-game losing skid for Texas. Griffin walked one and struck out five in improving his season record to 3-0.

Fantasy Impact:

Griffin is making an early case for Comeback Player of the Year honors. He lowered his ERA to 2.52 and his WHIP to 1.04. While he's not blowing anyone away with his fastball - just an average of 88 mph - he's spotting it and keeping hitters off balance.
