Jeff Samardzija won his third game of the season on Wednesday against the Padres, allowing five runs over 5 2/3 innings. He gave up five hits and two walks, striking out seven.
Fantasy Impact:
Not the prettiest outing for the Shark, but he was the beneficiary of an offensive bonanza by the Giants. Samardzija is having a solid season, with a 3.86 ERA, 1.26 WHIP, and 26 strikeouts in 32 2/3 innings. His next start will be next week at the Reds.
