Weak start of the season for Mike Fiers

Mike Fiers and Carlos Gomez were brought to the Astros at the trade deadline and each have had their struggles in 2016, as Fiers has posted a 5.73 ERA in 22 innings. He has not pitched more than six innings in any of his starts this season and only has 17 strikeouts after averaging a strikeout per inning. Fiers will face the Athletics tonight.
Fantasy Impact:
This is not what fantasy owners bargined for with Fiers as they expected a lot of strikeouts with 15 or more wins on a good Astros team. All is not lost for Fiers in his poor start, as he has allowed six runs in his last two starts and has 11 strikeouts in 11 innings, winning both games to move to 2-1. For those of you that will be on DraftKings tonight, Fiers has a .679 OPS against current Athletics batters, allowing only five extra-base hits (all home runs) in 64 at-bats.
