Jonathan Papelbon is 7-for-8 in save opportunities in 2016, but has allowed 11 hits in 9 1/3 innings for the Nationals. Papelbon has yet to allow a walk and has seven strikeouts for Washington, but has not had a save opportunity since April 23.

Papelbon has allowed a home run this season and has allowed runs in two of his 10 games this season, but he is a consistent option for the Nationals and is second in the National League with his seven saves. He has had four scoreless outings since blowing a save and losing against the Phillies on April 17, recording two saves and striking out at least one batter in three of his four outings. He is a top-10 closer this season with 40 or more save potential on a winning team like the Nationals.
