Dan Straily works around two home runs to earn first win of 2016

by Justin Elick | Wed, May 4th 4:09pm EDT

Straily turned in a quality start on Wednesday afternoon, allowing three runs on six hits against the Giants in 6 1/3 innings. He walked two and struck out four as he earned his first win in a Reds uniform. A five-run second inning propelled the Reds to a big early lead, and the bullpen managed to hold on for a 7-4 win.

Fantasy Impact:

Straily has pitched well this season, allowing three earned runs or less in each of his four starts. He owns a 26/14 K/BB along with an ERA of 3.56 and a WHIP of 1.12. He is a solid fill-in option in deep leagues at the moment, but he remains a pitcher with very limited upside.
