Melky Cabrera goes hitless on Wednesday

by Rob Schwarz, Jr. | Thu, May 5th 10:57am EDT

The first game of the battle of the Sox teams went to Boston. The White Sox started out great in the first inning, but struggled to find hitting thereafter. Melky Cabrera had a bad day at the plate on Wednesday. He was 0-for-3 on the day.

Fantasy Impact:

Cabrera has been a pleasant surprise for fantasy owners this year. He started out slow, but has been fantastic for category leagues ever since. He is currently a top-225 player in fantasy. Cabrera has struggled over his last few games, so keep an eye on him. In his last seven games, Cabrera is only hitting .192 with a .507 OPS. He should be owned in all formats, but keep an eye on him because Cabrera has proven to be a streaky-type player.
