Colin Rea flirts with no-hitter in win over the Mets

by Dan Harris | Brewers Correspondent | Fri, May 6th 1:40pm EDT

Colin Rea threw 6 2/3 no-hit innings against the Mets on Thursday before giving up a single to Yoenis Cespedes. Rea wound up going eight innings and allowing one run on three hits, striking out five. He is now 3-1 on the season.

Fantasy Impact:

Rea was very impressive in outdueling Jacob deGrom, and it really looked like he was finally going to break the Padres' jinx on no-hitters. Rea now sits with a 3.82 ERA and 1.33 WHIP with a middling strikeout rate. Despite the strong start, he's not worthy of mixed league consideration.
