Prince Fielder goes hitless in Rangers 10-5 win on Saturday

by Mike Kudlacik | Sat, May 7th 6:31pm EDT

Prince Fielder went 0-for-4 with one strikeout in the Rangers 10-5 victory over the Tigers on Saturday afternoon.

Fantasy Impact:

Fielder's average has dropped down below The Mendoza Line as he's now batting .198 on the season. Fielder has just two hits in his last 16 plate appearances and has been stuck at two home runs since April 19. He's in a great situation as the cleanup hitter in a solid Rangers lineup and playing a majority of his games in a hitters park, but he's clearly struggling. The month of May was his strongest last season where he batted .377 with nine home runs and 28 RBI and the fact that he's off to this slow of a start in 2016 is concerning.
