Logan Forsythe delivers game-winning knock on Saturday

by Mike Werner | Sun, May 8th 12:44am EDT

Logan Forsythe went 2-for-5 with a game-winning two-RBI single to lift the Rays over the Angels 4-2 on Saturday night.

Fantasy Impact:

With two outs and the bases loaded, Forsythe delivered the would be game-winning hit when he laced a 1-1 offering from Angels interim closer Joe Smith into center field to bring in Logan Morrison and Kevin Kiermaier. The second baseman had scuffled the last two games after having a five-game hitting streak, but is by far the Rays best player at the moment. Forsythe is currently 11th on the ESPN Player Rater at his position, and is hitting .316/.402/.551 with four home runs and three stolen bases. The Rays will look for the sweep on Sunday when they face-off against Nick Tropeano.
