Carlos Gomez finished 0 for the weekend against the Mariners, capped by a 0-for-4 performance on Sunday where he struck out twice. The most surprising thing of the weekend is that he walked twice, mainly because he has 34 strikeouts and just four walks in 2016. Gomez has bottomed out with a .534 OPS.
Fantasy Impact:
Gomez has been brutal in 2016 and has yet to put together more than a three-game hitting streak. Other than his woeful average, Gomez does not have a home run in 2016 and only has eight doubles. He only has four RBI and six runs scored, making him a massive bust in all formats.
