Teammate helping David Price with mechanics

by John Aubin | Mon, May 9th 4:15pm EDT

David Price, through the assistance of teammate Dustin Pedroia, is working on a fix to his mechanics that could be part of the reason the left-hander is off to such a poor start this season, the Providence Journal reports. Pedroia noticed Price's hands weren't in sync with his front leg, something that was part of the left-hander's delivery in the past. "I want my hands and my right knee to be connected by a string," Price said Sunday. "My hands have stayed right here, and that's not allowing me to get my full leg lift. It's been about a half of what I'm used to. It gives me no margin of error because I don't have that rhythm." (Providence Journal)

Fantasy Impact:

Hopefully, the mechanics fix will help David Price's velocity. His fastball has been sitting at 92 mph, which is three miles per hour less than normal. Price currently has a 6.75 ERA on the season and he is only going to get better. This is a good time for fantasy owners to buy low on Price.
