Derek Holland takes another beating

by Mitch Cox | Wed, May 11th 1:29am EDT

For the second consecutive start, Derek Holland couldn't make it out of the third inning. The Rangers lefty surrendered eight hits and five runs, four earned, in just 2 1/3 innings of work in the Rangers wild 13-11 win over the White Sox Tuesday.

Fantasy Impact:

This is the second straight horrible outing by Holland after he was as good as ever in his first five starts of the season. Do not be surprised to hear that there is something physically wrong with him. A pitcher of Holland's talent simply doesn't go from 3-1 with a sub-3.00 ERA to allowing 16 runs in five innings combined over his next two starts without something being amiss. Until things clear up, sit him on your bench.
