Clay Buchholz is not in jeopardy of losing rotation spot

by John Aubin | Sat, May 14th 8:10am EDT

Clay Buchholz, who will start on Saturday against Houston, is not in jeopardy of losing his rotation spot, according to manager John Farrell, the Boston Globe reports. Farrell hasn't gone as far as to say Buchholz's start on Saturday is pivotal for his future in the rotation, but the manager does have a decision looming. (Boston Globe)

Fantasy Impact:

The Red Sox have Eduardo Rodriguez and Joe Kelly coming back from injuries and should be joining the rotation at some point meaning there will be two pitchers losing a spot in the rotation. Buchholz is 2-3 with a 5.90 ERA and 1.44 WHIP on the season and has struggled to avoid big innings. If he does not pitch well in Saturday's start, he could see a DL stint to try to get things right.
