Martin Prado continues hot hitting start to season
by Mike Kudlacik | Sun, May 15th 11:29am EDT
Martin Prado went 4-for-8 with one run, one walk and one run scored in the Marlins doubleheader split with the Nationals on Saturday.
Fantasy Impact:
Prado is batting .381 through the first 32 games of the season, second only to the Nationals Daniel Murphy in the NL who sports a ridiculous .403 average. The problem with Prado for fantasy purposes is that he's primarily a singles hitter, lacking in the power categories with zero home runs, seven doubles, one triple and 11 RBI. He's a strong fill in at third base if you have an injury and are in need of a batting average boost, but won't provide much in the other standard fantasy categories.
