David Wright starts, Ks three times against Nationals

by Nick Ritrivi | Thu, May 19th 9:43am EDT

David Wright was back in the lineup for the Mets last night in the second game of their three game series against the Nationals. Wright sat out the first game due to recurring issues he is having with his back injury (spinal stenosis). Last night, Wright went 0-for-4 and struck out three times.

Fantasy Impact:

Wright is clearly playing injured and does not look comfortable at the plate (or in the field) right now. Owners in NL-only or very deep mixed leagues should look to sit him, provided they have a viable alternative option at third base, until he can get his bat going again. In shallow mixed leagues, Wright does not hold much fantasy value at this point.
