Jason Heyward was encouraged by a round of batting practice he took Monday. He and the Cubs hope he'll be able to return from his rib cage injury during the team's current series against the Cardinals. (Cubs.MLB.com)

It's good news for owners as this would indicate that Heyward will avoid a stint on the disabled list, assuming he doesn't face a setback. After his slow start, he had shown signs of life at the plate. Hopefully his progress won't be derailed by yet another injury.
