Jose Altuve with a poor matchup on Tuesday

by Chris Zolli | Astros Correspondent | Tue, May 24th 5:48pm EDT

Jose Altuve, who seems to be matchup proof this season, is only 2-for-11 with a walk against Tuesday's starter for the Orioles, Chris Tillman. Altuve does have a .333 batting average at home this season, but only has a .250 batting average over the last seven days.

Fantasy Impact:

Altuve's combination of power, 27 extra-base hits, and speed, 15-for-16 on stolen bases, makes him an interesting play on every night, but today is not the day for DFS players to splash the cash on Altuve. He is in a bit of a cold spell and his numbers against Tillman, who has a 2.61 ERA this season, do not help either. Season long owners should still start Altuve at 2B unless they are in such a shallow league that they have another top 2B, but they should not expect big things.
