Mark Teixeira receives cortisone shot

Mark Teixeira received a cortisone shot to relieve neck spasms that have been nagging him since early May, when many dives in the dirt vs. Baltimore caused the discomfort. He is expected to miss a few days, but a stint on the DL is not being considered at the point.
Fantasy Impact:
Teixeira has been awful this year, so the Yankees would be smart to let him recover fully before throwing him back out there. While he did get off to a fast start last year before his injury, he has historically heated up with the weather. He has 40 homer power when healthy, so don't make him a distant memory.
