Ryan Howard strikes out in only at-bat

by Kerry Kauffman | Fri, May 27th 7:34pm EDT

The Phillies fell to the Cubs on Friday by the score of 5-2, despite a decent offensive production of 10 hits. Ryan Howard sat this one out in favor of Tommy Joseph, but made an appearance late. He struck out in his only at-bat and is now batting a dreadful .159 for the season.

Fantasy Impact:

Howard's numbers across the board are very poor, with an on-base percentage of .224 and OPS of just .579. He'll probably be back in the lineup tomorrow, but should he continue to falter and Joseph show he can hit Major League pitching on a consistent basis, Howard may be seeing the bench more often than not.
