Cabrera has worse statistics on the road (.857 OPS vs. 730) and against right-handed pitchers (.838 OPS vs. 776), but he has very good statistics against Ventura and is 6-for-15 against the Royals this season. His .820 OPS in May should have him on all season long rosters, especially since he has seen his RBI jump from seven in April to 17 in May.
