Jason Kipnis has 51 hits in 2016, the exact same number he accumulated in May 2015. It was always going to be difficult for the second baseman to replicate the exceptional stretch that he had in the first half of last season (.323 AVG, .401 OBP, six home runs and 10 stolen bases). One suggestion for his struggles could be the apparent tendency to pull far more this year, 42% compared to 35% and go the opposite way far less, 18% to 29%.
