Melky Cabrera and the White Sox offense disappears on Monday
by Rob Schwarz, Jr. | Tue, May 31st 9:34am EDT
The White Sox have gone from a six game lead to third place in three weeks. They now find themselves only two games over .500. The offense was nonexistent on Monday as they lost 0-1 to Matt Harvey and the Mets. Melky Cabrera was not any help. He finished 0-for-2 with a strikeout.
Fantasy Impact:
Cabrera has been one of the most consistent hitters on the South Side. That said, not one person is hitting over .300 on the White Sox. Cabrera is worth a roster spot, but deploy him with caution. Even if he hits well, he is limited at generating runs and RBI if others cannot get on base or make contact.
