Mark Teixeira (knee) placed on 15-day DL

On Saturday, Mark Teixeira was placed on the 15-day DL with an articular cartilage tear in his right knee. (Yankees PR Dept. on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Teixeira seemed to injure the knee during his first at-bat of the Friday's game against the Orioles. The Yankees will try to find a long-term solution for first base, but Rob Refsnyder will likely be the option at first base for the time being. First baseman Chris Parmelee was recalled by the Yankees from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, but Austin Romine or Brian McCann could also handle first base duties when they aren't catching. However, the Yankees could attempt to Refsnyder a shot to win the job, too.
