Clayton Kershaw not sharp yet still shuts down the Braves

by Stan Son | Dodgers Correspondent | Sun, Jun 5th 12:43am EDT

Clayton Kershaw allowed three hits, did not give up an earned run, walked one, and struck out four in six innings Saturday night against the Atlanta Braves. He also hit the opposing pitcher. 62-of-96 pitches were thrown for strikes.

Fantasy Impact:

The four strikeouts were a season-low and the six innings pitched were the fewest in an outing all year. While Kershaw did not have his A+ stuff, he was still able to do what normal pitchers aspire for. On the season, he has a 1.46 ERA, 0.65 WHIP with 109 strikeouts and only six walks in 92 2/3 innings. His next scheduled start is in San Francisco for the series opener with the Giants, a team that ranks 7th in OPS against left-handed pitching, but a park where Kershaw is 9-3 with a 1.23 career ERA.
