Adam Wainwright outdueled by Johnny Cueto

Adan Wainwright had one of his most effective outings of the season on Friday, going seven innings and allowing only two runs to the Giants. Wainwright gave up five hits and one walk, striking out six. Unfortunately, he was bested by Johnny Cueto, and the loss dropped Wainwright to 5-4.
Fantasy Impact:
It was a really impressive start for Wainwright, but he still has a 5.40 ERA and 1.41 WHIP. Wainwright is definitely trending in the right direction, but his lack of consistency makes it difficult to rely on him on a regular basis. His next start is at Cincinnati, where you might be able to get away with spot starting him.
