Starlin Castro with a home run against the Angels

by Chris Zolli | Tue, Jun 7th 7:17am EDT

Starlin Castro finished 2-for-3 with his eighth home run of the season agianst the Angels. Castro now has 19 extra-base hits this season and has brought decent power to 2B for the Yankees. He has a .716 OPS this season.

Fantasy Impact:

Castro came to New York to solidify 2B and has done just that, providing two multi-hit games in his last three games after he struggled in May. Fantasy owners saw his .833 OPS in April and assumed that Castro was back to his All-Star level, but a .596 OPS saw his value plummet; he has opened June 7-for-20 with a double and a home run and recouped some value. He is 1-for-2 against the Angels' starter on Tuesday, David Huff, and has a .724 OPS against left-handed pitchers.
