Trayce Thompson with walk-off home run

by Chris Zolli | Mets Correspondent | Wed, Jun 8th 7:55am EDT

Trayce Thompson hit his 10th home run of the season in walk-off style for the Dodgers against the Rockies on Tuesday, part of a 1-for-3 performance with a walk. Thompson now has three home runs in 20 at-bats in June, adding two doubles as well, and has a .300 batting average this month. He has a .922 OPS this season.

Fantasy Impact:

A .295 ISO power cannot be wrong: Thompson is a legit slugger and his 11.6% walk rate also shows that he has the patience to hang around. Roster wise, the Dodgers gave up on Carl Crawford, Andre Ethier is injured, and Howie Kendrick has a ..566 OPS, so Thompson will continue to play. Thompson is 0-for-1 with a strikeout against Chris Rusin in his career and has a .904 OPS against left-handed pitchers this season.
